Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. - Joshua 1:9 New King James Version
Do not be afraid, the Lord is with you.
Being in a long-distance relationship is challenging. You can't easily be with the love of your life because you are miles away. You worry about your partner. You wonder about his or her situation. And it's frustrating if your partner needs help and you are not physically with him or her.
Do not be dismayed about your situation. The Lord said that He is with you wherever you are, and this is also true with your partner. You don't have to worry because God is protecting the both of you. Believe God's plan for your relationship. You may be miles away for now, but in God's perfect time, you will be in each other's arms.
Father in heaven, You are our Deliverer and Protector. You said that we shouldn't worry because You are with us wherever we go. Lord, You know how difficult it is for us to be far away from each other, but we trust Your plans. Please help make our relationship stronger in spite of our distance. Please keep us safe all the time oh Lord. We give you back all the praises and glory, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Something To Reflect On: What's the most challenging part of your relationship?
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. - 1 Corinthians 10:13 New King James Version
You will endure because of God.
Temptations are everywhere. You and your partner may be exposed to temptations in your distance. Expect that the enemy will try to ruin your relationship especially when it is founded in God. The enemy will try to destroy what God has built. This is troubling yet part of life.
Be thankful because God assured you that you can endure temptations as long as you will keep the faith and ask Him constantly to deter you and your significant other from things that could ruin your relationship. At times, God will allow the enemy to test you, but He will only allow something that you can bear.
God also promised that He will give you a way out in case you are trapped into temptations. As long as you never let go of God, you and your significant other are safe and secured.
Father in heaven, You are a living God and the most powerful of all. We are in a world where evil is prevalent. Lord Jesus, please keep us away from evil. Please don't allow the enemy to ruin what you have established. Lord, I entrust my life and my significant other. Our relationship will only prosper in you oh God. I give you back all the glory and praises in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Something To Reflect On: How do you deal with temptations?
He is your praise, and He is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things which your eyes have seen. - Deuteronomy 10:21 New King James Version
The Lord does great things in your life, praise Him!
It is difficult to deal with distance especially when you have no means to be with your significant other. It makes you sick emotionally and mentally. When you survive the challenges in your relationship, it is worth being thankful for. However, both of you can’t do anything without God's help. Your relationship will only prosper through God.
Even if your situation is hard, never cease praising God. The more you praise the Lord, the lighter your burdens become. As you praise the Lord, He will give you the power to conquer everything.
Praise God because He deserves to be praised. Praise Him because He has done marvelous things in your life.
Our gracious and loving Father, thank you for showing me Your greatness. You have done so much in my life and I couldn't pay you enough for that. You don’t need my praises because You are still God without me. Lord, I am nothing without You. We need You as we make our relationship work. We need You in every aspect of our lives. All these things I ask and pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Something To Reflect On: What are the things that God has done to save your relationship?
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. - 1 Corinthians 13:7 New King James Version
Love bears all things.
Love knows no distance. Even if you and your significant other are miles away, the love that you have for each other will bind you together. When you have a love that's strong, your relationship will last. You and your partner will be able to surpass all the obstacles in your relationship. With love, both of you are hopeful that in God's perfect time, you will be together.
Always nourish the love that you have. You and your partner should work together to make your relationship grow. Assure your partner that even if you are not beside each other, you are always ready to help in whatever way you can.
Above all things put God's love at the center of your relationship for God is the best example of love. He is the One who will make your relationship unbeatable.
Father in heaven, You are love. We learned how to love because You showed us how to love. Thank you for the gift of love. Lord, please help us nourish our love so we can bear whatever challenges that will come our way. Help us, Lord, to endure all things. Jesus, please be the center of our lives because we can only do everything with You. All these I ask and pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

FIRE UP FRIDAY
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; - Proverbs 3:5 New King James Version
God has a perfect plan for both of you.
Sometimes you can't understand why God has put you in that situation. You asked Him many times about why you have to undergo certain things. It is a distressing experience, but there is always a greater plan behind all the trials that you and your partner are facing. God's plan is difficult to comprehend at first, but He has the perfect plan for you, for both of you.
You have to trust the Lord. Never doubt His capacity to help you. If you only rely on your own understanding, you will get easily discouraged when things are shaking your relationship. But, when you surrender your trust to the Lord and allow Him to work in your relationship, both of you will be guided.
Father in heaven, You alone are great to be praised. You are the God of the impossible. Father help me to lean not on my own understanding. Remind me, Father, to always lean on You. When there are things that we can't comprehend, please help us understand all Your plans. Please make our relationship stronger oh God. All these, I ask and pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

SLIDE BACK SATURDAY
“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me? - Jeremiah 32:27 New King James Version
Remember who God is.
From a man's perspective, things have limitations. But with God, things are limitless. You may say, "there's no more way out" but God says, "there is always a way out."
There are times when we think that we are already on a dead end and there's no more hope. It is hard to keep the relationship when you and your significant other are far away. Solving issues that may arise in a relationship is a challenge in a long-distance relationship. Simple things may get complicated because of communication barriers. And when the foundation of the relationship is weak, couples give up.
If you will encounter problems in your relationship and you think things are hopeless, run towards God. Remember, He is the author of everything, the God of all mankind, and the all-knowing God. He has the solution to all your worries, fears, doubts, and troubles.
Father in heaven, You are the most powerful of all. There is no problem too heavy that You cannot solve. We may run out of ways but You oh God will always make a way. When things are beyond our control, I pray that You will lift us up and remind us that You are always ready to guide us. Thank you, Lord Jesus, Amen.

SLOW DOWN SUNDAY
I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. - Psalm 4:8 New King James Version
Do not worry, the Lord keeps you safe.
Worries give you sleepless and stressful nights. Because you care for your significant other, you want him or her to be safe wherever he or she goes. At times, when you can’t hear anything from the love of your life, you get anxious or you can’t concentrate on what you do because you are bothered about your partner's whereabouts.
To worry is human but when you have God, you will be able to divert your worries to your refuge. Always remember that in God, you and your partner are safe and secured. You can sleep like a baby every night because you are confident that God is protecting you and your significant other all the time.
This day, rest in God. Make Him a priority. Set aside all those things that are bothering you.
Father in heaven, You are my Waymaker. You always hold me in Your arms and make me feel safe. Help me Lord Jesus to learn to relax even if there are a lot of things bothering me. Remind me Lord that I can rest in You especially in times when my mind is preoccupied. Amen.
